Interesting that you thought it was a good album, but it won’t be headed to your Ipod.
That’s either an interesting statement of being a music fan in today’s world, or an illustration of how jaded we are, having so much access to so much music (most of it free) in this industry.
I like what you’re doing here.
I’d be interested to know what kind of camera you’re using, what you’re using to edit video/insert your logo, and how you’re hosting your video.
Even with all the free music that I have access to, I still love the experience of going to the store and then cracking the shrink wrap! With downloads, it’s just NOT the same!
For Vlogging, I actually keep things pretty simple. I don’t do any editing of the video, just shoot it straight to my hard drive. I upload my videos to Viddler, which allows me to place the bug in the lower right hand corner. I then post that file into my blog. If you were to watch my video on any other sites, it would look the same, just without the logo.
For my equipment set up: when I’m in Nashville, I use a Logitech Quickcam Orbit camera, and utilize a Logitech Desktop Mic (980186). I use the stand alone microphone because the acoustics in my office don’t work well with the Orbit’s built in mic. When I’m in Ohio (or on the road anywhere else) I use a Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 notebook camera with the built in mic.
Thanks for checking in! When you’re ready to turn Addicted To Vinyl into a video blog, let me know!
You know, I’m right there with you – I still buy a ton of stuff the old fashioned way…and I’m not above shelling out for concert tickets either when I have to…unless it’s snowy and crummy in Cleveland like tonight…in that particular case, “Yes” isn’t getting my 50 bucks at the House of Blues.
The Police CD/DVD was one of my most recent purchases, and I’m thinking I’ll probably shell out in the next day or so for the new Hall and Oates live CD/DVD. I’ve always got a list a mile long of stuff that I want….lately, it’s been a lot of music-related books.
Thanks for enlightening me on your setup….I’m glad to find out about Viddler, and I’m impressed with the video quality that you’re getting from your setup. It’s nice that Viddler seems to retain the quality after upload, compared to Youtube which degrades it quite a bit.
I might just dabble a bit with video blogging in the future…we’ll see…I could definitely have some potential fun recording some video blogs with some of my Clevo blogging pals during our get-togethers.

Just a few nerd questions, if you’ll indulge me?
Cheers..
