I agree, Kevin… Earl Grey is nectar of the gods to me. True mother’s milk, but certainly (in my opinion) more suited for evening consumption. English Breakfast, or a nice full bodied black tea is good on fall & winter mornings.
I’ve been a tea drinker since my Scottish grandmother used to spoon me Orange Pekoe out of a saucer before I was old enough to walk. SInce then, I’ve always found a certain solace in a good pot of steaming, well steeped tea.
One year while I was attending college, my other grandmother (also a tea-o-holic) asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I asked her to knit or sew me a tea cozy for my dorm room tea pot. I got quite a few dorm mates knocking on my door during study time, asking for a mug full.
I agree… Earl Grey is a good night time indulgence! I’m always looking for a good teapot cozy! They are not easy to find. I’ve been trying to find one to fit my Fiesta teapot for a couple of years. Most are too big! A knitted cozy is probably the way to go!
